DRY-FORK VOLUNTEER RESCUE SQUAD, was formed in 1994 when Big Creek Rescue dissolved , it was formed by Mr Roncella and Theresa Shamblin who served as the first CAPTAIN and President until 1998 when Sherry Hicks was appointed Captain & President in 2008 , DRY-FORK Vol. Rescue squad, was reorganized by the Mayor of The City Of War W.V. Mr. Dr. Thomas Hatcher, serving as Chairman, Amizetta Sparks Vice Chair & Tresure , Manual Collins Serving as Board Member , Jean Wallace Serving as Board Member, Theresa Shamblin volunteered and was appointed as the Squads intern Captain again upon reorganization, as of 2018 Sheila A. Madison serves as CAPTAIN & PRESIDENT, DRY FORK VOLUNTEER RESCUE SQUAD, is a vital part of our community offering free training services to the youth and general public , and has established our first CERT TEAM in our area allowing us to quickly respond to each call we receive. Our friends, neighbors have come rely on us and we’re proud to serve them. We offer our assistance to our area , community and county , We will provide Mutral aid to any other Agencies needing our assistance We take the issue of public saftey and prevention of danger very seriously. the well being of our community is our ultimate goal.
